The easiest way to avoid GMOs is too buy fresh organic veggies (local farmers market is best) and lean grass-fed meats. Packaged foods are full of GMOs, preservatives, carcinogens and sugar.
Even if a package says “farm fresh”, “natural”, “no added ingredients”, “natural flavors” – these are not true statements.
Yes the animals are coming from a “farm” but the practices on the farm are horrific. “Vegetarian fed” cattle are still eating GMO corn. “Natural flavor” – these are 100s of different chemicals made in a lab that taste like the product you’re buying. There is a neon orange “chicken” flavor powder chemical used to enhance the “natural flavor” of chicken breast in such brands as Tyson and Perdue.
Unfortunately the food industry is not changing anytime soon, so we must do our research, carefully read between the lines on labels and make the right choices. We, the consumers, must change.
I highly recommend watching the documentary “GMO OMG” on Netflix!!! It’s very honest, easy to understand and mind blowing of what a tight grip Monsanto has over the food industry. Our food is killing us.
